Turtle - Bottom

Non-Dominant

Turtle

You are on your knees and elbows with everything tucked in, and the shell only holds while it stays tight. Keep your elbows against your knees, your head up off the mat, and your neck covered — the space you leave is the space a hook or a collar goes into. Look to stand back up or turn in toward them; staying still only gives them time to climb on.

Defense

Defend against submissions and attacks from your partner.

Goals

Turtle Protection

Keep the shell tight — elbows to knees, neck covered — so there is no space for a hook or a collar.
